on this website (hereafter “Offer”).

The legal foundations of data privacy can be found in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and German Teleservices Act (TMG).

Access data / Server log files

The Vendor (and their webspace provider) collects data on every access to the Offer (so-called server log files). The access data includes:

the name of the retrieved website, file, date and time of the retrieval, volume of data transferred, report on successful retrieval, browser type in addition to version, user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited site), IP address and the inquiring provider.

The Vendor uses the protocol data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security and optimisation of the Offer. However, the Vendor reserves the right to subsequently review the protocol data if, due to specific indications, there is reasonable suspicion of unlawful use.

Treatment of personal data

Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, that is, details that can be traced back to a person. This includes name, email address or telephone number. However, data on preferences, hobbies, memberships or what websites someone has viewed are also numbered among personal data.

Personal data is then only collected, used or shared by the Vendor when this is legally permitted or the users consent to the data collection.

Contact

During contact with the Vendor (for example via contact form or email), the user's statements are saved for the purpose of processing the request as well as for the case of follow-up questions.

Incorporation of services and content from third parties

It can occur that content from third parties such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are incorporated within this online offer. This always requires that the suppliers of this content (hereafter designated as “Third Party Vendors”) detect the user’s IP address. This is because without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the respective user's browser. The IP address is thereby necessary for the depiction of this content. We endeavour to only use content whose respective suppliers only use IP addresses for distributing content. However, we do not have any influence on whether the Third Party Suppliers store IP addresses, e.g. for statistical purposes. We will inform users to the extent of which we are aware of this.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that make it possible to store specific information on the user's accessing device (PC, smart phone, etc.) related to the device. For one thing, they serve the user friendliness of websites, and thereby the users (e.g. Storage of login data). For another, they serve to gather statistical data on website use and to analyse it for the purpose of improving the Offer. The users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option which limits or completely prevents the storage of cookies. Nevertheless it is noted that the use, and especially the comfort of use, will be limited without cookies.

You can manage many online display cookies from companies via the American site aboutads.info or the EU site youronlinechoices.com.

Newsletter

With the newsletter, we keep you informed on us and our offerings.

If you would like to receive the newsletter, we require from you a valid email address, as well as information that permits us to verify that you are the owner of the indicated email address or that its owner has agreed to receiving the newsletter. Further data will not be collected. This data is used only for the distribution of the newsletters and will not be shared with third parties.

During registration for the newsletter, we store your IP address and the registration date. This storage solely serves as evidence for the case in which a third party misuses an email address and registers for receipt of the newsletter without the knowledge of the authorised party.

You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address and its use for distributing the newsletter at any time. The revocation can take place via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your Profile section or by message to the above-noted contact options.

Google Analytics

This Offer uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on users’ computers and facilitate an analysis of their use of the website. The information generated by cookies on use of this website by users is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

In the case of activation of the IP anonymisation on this website, the IP addresses of Google users within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting member states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area will nevertheless be condensed beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website by users in order to compile reports on the website activities and perform other services associated with website use and Internet use for the website operator.

The IP address transmitted from your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined by Google with other data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies through a corresponding setting in their browser software; however, this offer notifies users that, in this case, they may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Moreover, users can prevent the collection of the data generated by cookies based on their use of the website (incl. their IP addresses) on Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading a browser plugin and installing it.

You can find more specific information on this subject under the general information on Google Analytics and data privacy. We would like to notify you that Google Analytics has been expanded on this website with the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” in order to ensure an anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

Through the integration of the plugins, Facebook receives the information that a user has retrieved on the corresponding Offer pages. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his/her Facebook account. When users interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the Like button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to gather information on him/her via this Offer and link it to his/her stored Facebook member data, he/she must log out on Facebook prior to visiting the homepage.

It is likewise possible to block Facebook social plugins with add-ons for your browser, for example with the “Facebook Blocker”.

+1 button for Google+

This Offer uses the “+1” button from the social network Google Plus, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). The button is recognisable by the “+1” symbol on a white or coloured background.

The Vendor therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Google collects with the button. According to Google, no personal data is collected if the button is not clicked. Only for logged in members will such data, including the IP address, be collected and processed.

The purpose and scope of the data processing and the further processing and use of the data by Google, as well as its rights in this regard and the configuration options for the protection of your privacy, can be gathered from the Google data privacy notices on the “+1” button and the FAQ.
